Deputy Secretary Zoellick: Travel to Jordan and Iraq

AP/Wide World PhotoDeputy Secretary Zoellick travelled to Jordan and Iraq from May 18 through May 20 to meeting with senior Jordanian officials and participate in the World Economic Forum at the Dead Sea. He discussed President Bush’s efforts to promote peace, prosperity, and security in the broader Middle East.

In addition to making a special public address at the World Economic Forum gathering on Friday, May 20, Deputy Secretary Zoellick met with senior government officials from throughout the region, as well as business and civil society leaders, to discuss the process of reform.
