Global Burden of Disease: The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington strive to make its data freely and easily accessible and to provide innovative ways to visualize complex topics. IHME data visualizations allow users to see patterns and follow trends that are not readily apparent in the numbers themselves. Users can watch how trends in mortality change over time, choose countries to compare progress in a variety of health areas, or see how countries compare against each other on a global map.

World RePort: World RePORT is an illustrative mapping database system designed to facilitate communication and coordination of biomedical research funded by major government agencies and philanthropic organizations around the world. The initial effort, created by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, focuses on research performed in Sub-Saharan Africa using data supplied by several members of the Heads of International Research Organizations (HIRO), of which the NIH is a member.

OECD DAC: The mission of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is to promote policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world. The OECD provides a forum in which governments can work together to share experiences and seek solutions to common problems. OECD works with governments to understand what drives economic, social and environmental change; measures productivity and global flows of trade and investment; analyzes and compares data to predict future trends; and sets international standards on a wide range of things, from agriculture and tax to the safety of chemicals.
