Mobil Investments Inc. and Murphy Oil Corporation, oil corporations incorporated in Delaware, filed a claim against the Government of Canada related to two oil fields located off the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador and changes in the regulatory regime applicable to the exploitation of those fields. Claimants allege that Canada has violated NAFTA Article 1106 (prohibition on performance requirements).
