Special Representative Reta Jo Lewis will participate in the bi-annual Environment, Science, Technology and Health Conference to be held in Bangkok, Thailand. Hosted by the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok, in coordination with the State Department's Bureau of Oceans, Environment and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs (OES), this conference will focus on key U.S. priorities, including international collaboration on science & technology, climate change, civilian space cooperation, health systems, science diplomacy, and managing issues related to oceans, the environment, and natural resources.
During the conference, Special Representative Lewis will deliver remarks on the role subnational governments can play in furthering global and U.S. objectives for a sustainable future.
In addition, Special Representative Lewis will meet with state and local leaders in Thailand to discuss cooperation on issues including trade and investment and capacity building efforts for local governments.
