October 22, 2003: Secretary Powell walks with Kenya's Foreign Minister Kalonzo Musyoka (L) and with Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM) leader Dr. John Garang (2nd from L), and Sudan's First Vice President Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, in the Kenyan town of Naivasha, 90 kms from the capital Nairobi. The Government of Sudan and the SPLM met with Secretary Powell and are hoping to sign a comprehensive peace agreement with power and wealth sharing by the end of December in talks aimed at ending the 20 year civil war.
