Tour of the Abu Shouk Camp


Darfur, Sudan
June 30, 2004

The Secretary visited Sudan June 29-30. He went  to Khartoum and then to Darfur.  At the Secretary's tour of the Abu Shouk Camp he met with the relief workers who are there, with members of the cease-fire commission, and with the many people and groups who have been displaced by the fighting and the other hardships that they've had to endure there.
