Tenure of Paul Applegarth at the Millennium Challenge Corporation

Secretary Condoleezza Rice
Washington, DC
June 17, 2005

I am deeply grateful for Paul Applegarth’s service at the Millennium Challenge Corporation. During his tenure at the MCC, he worked to implement the President’s vision of creating a new model for effective long-term development aid. Paul’s accomplishment is singular: he built a revolutionary new aid agency from the ground up and helped change the way the world thinks about development assistance. The foundation Paul laid at the MCC will benefit America and millions around the world for decades to come.
