On behalf of President Obama and the people of the United States, I am delighted to send best wishes to the people of the Republic of the Marshall Islands on the 32nd anniversary of the signing of your Constitution this May 1.
The United States and the Republic of the Marshall Islands work closely together on many issues of mutual interest, from fostering economic growth, to improving regional security, to the challenges of transnational crime, maritime security and climate change affecting the region. I am especially grateful for the dedication and sacrifice of your citizens to the U.S Armed Forces.
The United States is committed to this partnership and we join you in honoring your rich history. I wish all citizens of the Marshall Islands continued peace and prosperity in the coming year.
