On behalf of President Obama and the people of the United States, I am delighted to send best wishes to the people of Denmark on the occasion of your Constitution Day this June 5.
The relationship between our two nations is guided by mutual interests and respect, rooted in our long history of cooperation on so many issues around the world. Today, we are working together to promote human rights and support the most vulnerable among us. Whether it’s standing up for civil society organizations in Egypt and Tunisia or helping protect Libyan citizens and increase Afghan women’s access to justice and education, our two countries are committed to the future peace and security of the world.
As you celebrate this special day, know that the United States stands with you and we wish you continued peace and prosperity in the year to come.
