On March 24-28, Secretary of State John Kerry accompanied President Obama during his visit to The Hague, Rome, Vatican City, and Riyadh.
While in The Hague, Secretary Kerry attended meetings with President Obama, including a G7 leaders meeting to discuss the ongoing crisis in Ukraine. The Secretary also held bilateral meetings with foreign interlocutors, including Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
While in Rome, the Secretary will attend President Obama’s meetings with President Giorgio Napolitano and Prime Minister Matteo Renzi. He will also accompany the President to Vatican City for his meeting with Pope Francis, and will participate in the meeting with His Eminence, Cardinal Parolin, Secretary of State of the Holy See.
Secretary Kerry arrived in Amman, Jordan on March 26 where he had a courtesy meeting with King Abdullah II. He also met with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
Secretary Kerry then accompanied President Obama to Riyadh to meet with King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.
On March 30, Secretary Kerry was in Paris to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov.
Secretary Kerry then traveled to Jerusalem and Ramallah for meetings.
