Secretary Rice Attends Organization of American States General Assembly
(June 4):
"...The OAS has grown into an even stronger and more principled ally to the citizens of our hemisphere who keep faith with the principles of democracy and who want to be included in the benefits of democracy, prosperity, personal security, and social justice."

Secretary Rice traveled to Panama to lead the U.S. delegation at the 37th General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS).

The theme of this year’s General Assembly is “Energy for Sustainable Development.”

Secretary Rice had several bilateral meetings while at the General Assembly.
