Under the theme of "Where Ideas Meet Action" the 2013 Global Diaspora Forum will demonstrate exemplary initiatives in international development and diplomacy undertaken by diasporans of all generations, and showcase methods of organization and bridge-building that encourage next-generation diasporans to connect with their countries of heritage.
The focus of this year's Global Diaspora Forum is on youth engagement and will feature high-level speakers from government agencies as well as celebrity diasporans including the Ethiopian supermodel Liya Kebede; USA Today's Christine Brennan; Olympic medalist and diplomat Michelle Kwan; Olympic marathoner Mebrahtom Keflezighi; and James Ihedigbo of the Baltimore Ravens.
Join leaders in business, technology, investment and trade, government, and other prominent members of global diaspora communities as they uncover new ways of collaborating around innovation, technology and youth-focused engagements.
