U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit

President Obama will welcome leaders from across the African continent to our nation’s capital for the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit August 4-6, 2014, as a demonstration of our deep partnership with and commitment to the region. Building on the progress made since the President’s trip to Africa last summer, this Summit will strengthen ties between the United States and African nations on individual and regional levels. The U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit is an unprecedented opportunity to highlight the depth and breadth of the United States’ commitment to the African continent, advance our shared priorities, and enable discussion of concrete ideas to deepen the partnership. At its core, this Summit is about fostering stronger ties between the United States and Africa.
