On October 7, 2010 Secretary Clinton launched the GSMA mWomen Program as part of the State Department's commitment to close the gender gap and increase opportunities for women. Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues Melanne Verveer; Senior Advisor for Innovation to the Secretary of State Alec Ross; founder of the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women and former British First Lady Cherie Blair; and CEO of GSMA Rob Conway, gave remarks and responded to questions.
