OSCE and Mediterranean Partners to Discuss Co-Operative Security, Tolerance and Migration at Egypt Seminar

VIENNA, 11 November 2004 - Senior officials from OSCE participating States, their Mediterranean Partner countries and other international organizations will discuss cooperative security, tolerance and migration at a two-day seminar in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, on 18 and 19 November.

Speakers will include the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Bulgarian Foreign Minister Solomon Passy, Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Slovenian State Secretary Andrej Logar, whose country takes on the OSCE Chairmanship in 2005, and OSCE Secretary General Jan Kubis.

The OSCE's Mediterranean Partners are Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Morocco and Tunisia.

The seminar will take place in the Egypt Hall at the Hotel Savoy in Sharm El Sheikh.

The opening session, starting at 0930 on Thursday 18 November, will be open to the media.
