Multilateral conferences, workshops, and exercises are the primary implementation mechanism for the GICNT Statement of Principles. The Implementation and Assessment Group (IAG) coordinates GICNT activities to ensure they align with the Statement of Principles, are complementary to existing international efforts, and advance priorities identified by GICNT partner nations. Spain currently serves as the Coordinator of the IAG, which is open to all partners. The IAG’s current focus is on advancing partner nation capabilities in nuclear detection, nuclear forensics, and response and mitigation, three focus areas identified at the GICNT’s 2010 and 2011 Plenary Meetings.
In some cases, financial and logistical support is available to partner nations interested in organizing or hosting events. Click here to learn more about past GICNT events.
