Ms. Alison B. Fortier

Alison B. Fortier is Vice President of Missile Defense at Lockheed Martin’s Washington Operations. She assumed this position on August 1, 2005 after serving as Vice President and Deputy Managing Director of Lockheed Martin Missile Defense Programs Office since April 2003. Ms. Fortier is currently a Board Member of the International Republican Institute, a non-partisan 501 (c) (3) organization within the U.S. Government National Endowment for Democracy. She is also a board member of the Women’s High Tech Coalition.

Previously, she was Vice President, Space and Strategic Programs, Washington Operations, Lockheed Martin. Ms. Fortier also has served as Vice President, Legislative Programs, Space and Strategic Programs, Washington Operations. She joined Lockheed Martin in 1996 as the Director of Missile Defense Programs, Washington Operations, Space and Strategic Missiles Sector, Lockheed Martin Corporation. Prior to her employment with Lockheed Martin she was a Manager of Legislative Programs in the Washington Office of Rockwell International Corporation.

Ms. Fortier is a former Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Legislative Affairs, National Security Council Staff and was Director of Congressional Affairs at the United States Arms Control and Disarmament Agency. Mrs. Fortier began her career in Washington, D.C. as a professional staff member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee working for the Special Subcommittee on Investigations and the Subcommittee on Europe and the Middle East. She has served on the Advisory Board of the Naval Postgraduate School.

Ms. Fortier is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the College of William and Mary. She studied at the University of Bordeaux, France as a Fulbright scholar. She has a M.A. from the University of Michigan.
