Key Officers of Foreign Service Posts Important Notice: This document is a web version of the hard copy publication, "Key Officers of Foreign Service Posts: Guide for Business Representatives," updated two times per year by the Bureau of Administration. Updates should be submitted to:
A/RPS/MMS Foreign Service posts should follow up faxes with cables or memos to that office. Due to the rotational nature of Foreign Service assignments, it is most important that correspondence to a Foreign Service post be addressed to a section, or position, rather than to an officer by name. This will eliminate delays, resulting from the forwarding of official mail to officers who have transferred. Normally, correspondence concerning commercial matters should be addressed simply "Commercial Section" followed by the name and correct mailing address of the post. Note: The Bureau of Administration does not release a directory of email addresses for individual employees. This "Key Officers" list includes email addresses for those posts which have them available to the public for correspondence. Hard copies of this publication are sold by the Superintendent of Documents, Government Printing Office, Washington, DC 20402 (Tel: 202-512-1800). Telephoning a Foreign Service Post
