
Housing some of the most important objects in the Collection, the Martha Washington's Ladies' Lounge has a Ming-type Chinese rug, c. 1880,and in front of the New York Settee, a rare Massachusetts table with candle slides.
The Portsmouth high chest and dressing table, a pair, are kept here, as is the Philadelphia Queen Anne Armchair.
