Ronald L. Miller
Managing Director for International Financial Services (FMP/IFS)Ronald L. Miller is a career Department of State Financial Management Officer and member of the Senior Foreign Service. He is currently Managing Director of the International Financial Services Directorate within the Department's Bureau of Financial Management and Policy (FMP/IFS). He and his Washington-based staff are responsible for the management, oversight, and support of the Financial Service Centers (FSCs) in Bangkok, Paris, and Charleston, South Carolina. The FSCs, that together provide worldwide financial services, are staffed with nearly 350 Foreign Service and Foreign National financial management professionals.
His previous assignment was Director of the Charleston Financial Service Center in Charleston, South Carolina. He has served overseas in London, Paris, Damascus, Lagos, Abidjan, Vienna, Santiago, Athens, Bonn, Brussels, and at the American Institute in Taipei (AIT). He has also taught financial management at the Department's Foreign Service Institute in Washington, D.C. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland.
He has received the Department of State's Chief Financial Officer's Award for Distinction in Public Finance, and the Vice President's National Performance Review ("Hammer") Award. He has also received several Meritorious Honor and Service Awards during his career.
