Great Seal Missile Technology Control Regime Joint Appeal
November 6, 1997, Washington, D.C.
U.S. Department of State
Blue Bar

In view of growing concern over missile proliferation, and in the interest of regional and international security, participating countries in the Missile Technology Control Regime appeal to all states and authorities to support the nonproliferation aims of the regime and adopt its guidelines for sensitive missile-relevant transfers. The partners also encourage regional security fora and institutions to give attention to the role of export controls in preventing the proliferation of missiles capable of carrying nuclear, biological or chemical weapons.
