While the United States is deeply disappointed with Minister Pronk's paper, which we consider unacceptably imbalanced, we are pursuing every opportunity to reach a good agreement here at The Hague. We continue to negotiate with the aim of moving forward on key issues in the fight against global warming. I regret canceling our press briefing today, but the situation is very fluid, and I do not feel the negotiations would benefit from any detailed airing of the issues at this stage.
