1999 World Food Programme: A road survey was being carried out from Boma to four locations in Jonglei, namely, Nyaat, Ngalongoro, Pakok and Pochalla.

May 1998 relocation of aid workers: SUPRAID staff temporarily relocated from Wunrok to Pakok, Bahr el Ghazal, on the advice of local authorities. They returned to Wunrok later in the day.

1997 Action Against Hunger: AAH has had programs in Sudan since 1985. Initially, AAH programs were in Juba and Kadugli. In 1990, programs were extended in the South to Kajo-Keji, Nasir, Bor, Pakok, Ame, Nimule, Labone and Bahr el Ghazal, as well as the the vicinity of Khartoum. In 1997, AAH was expelled by the SPLA/M without explanation. As a result, AAHâs programs diminished greatly and were limited to two projects.
