O B C Courses

The following courses are open to U.S. government employees and their spouses preparing for, or returning from, an overseas assignment. Tuition is charged to non-Department of State employees and family members for some day-long courses. All other OBC presentations of four hours or less are free to employees and family members of all agencies. Please call the Training Division at (703) 302-7268 or contact OBC by e-mail if you have any questions.

Courses meet weekdays, Wednesday evenings, and/or Saturdays. Non-State employees and their family members must register for tuition-based courses through their personnel technician by submitting an SF-182, including fiscal data, to the Office of the Registrar at FSI. State employees must register for security and tuition courses through their CDO. All employees and family members, regardless of agency, may register for non-tuition courses directly with the Overseas Briefing Center by calling (703) 302-7268. You will be asked to provide SSN, agency, date of birth, and phone number for each student.
