O B C Courses



The OBC holds two "SUPER SATURDAYS" each year for employees and their families preparing to go overseas:

March 17, 2001 (Saturday)
May 19, 2001 (Saturday)
Non-State tuition: No charge.

The following four sessions all are given on each of the two Saturdays:

GOING OVERSEAS FOR SINGLES AND COUPLES WITHOUT CHILDREN (MQ 200)

9:00 - noon (Saturday)
This morning workshop gives participants an opportunity to discuss the psychological process of preparing for an assignment abroad. As every move is different, this course is not limited to those embarking on their first overseas assignment.

GOING OVERSEAS FOR FAMILIES AND COUPLES WITH CHILDREN (MQ 210)

9:00 - noon (Saturday)
Family units (children ages 6 - adult) and parents of younger children or those leaving children behind discuss the psychological process of preparing for an assignment abroad. Offered in conjunction with MQ 220 and MQ 230 in the afternoon.

GOING OVERSEAS - LOGISTICS FOR ADULTS (MQ 220)

1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.(Saturday)
Also offered on Wednesday, February 21, 2001, 6:00 - 8:30 pm.
Logistics of planning for the move overseas.

GOING OVERSEAS - LOGISTICS FOR CHILDREN (MQ 230)

1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. (Saturday)
Logistics of planning for the move overseas with special focus on the needs of children ages 6 - 18.
