Ambassador Bruce Wharton, Acting Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs, will travel to Rome and Florence, Italy, March 29-31 to lead the U.S. delegation to the G-7 Culture Ministerial.

In Rome, Ambassador Wharton will meet with U.S. Embassy staff before traveling to Florence to participate in the first ever G-7 Culture Ministerial. He will be joined by officials from the Departments of State, Homeland Security, and Justice, as well as the Smithsonian Institution, for the two-day ministerial, which is focused on issues of cultural heritage preservation and protection.
