The Department of State has amended the terrorist designations of the Real IRA and ISIL-Libya to reflect new primary names, the New Irish Republican Army and the Islamic State of Iraq and ash-Sham in Libya, and associated aliases.  These aliases have been added to their designations as Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs) under section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act, and as Specially Designated Global Terrorists under Executive Order 13224.  The Department has also reviewed and maintained the FTO designations of both groups.

The United States remains committed to combating the activities of terrorists worldwide.
