Blinken, Secretary of State November 1, 2023 On behalf of the United States of America, I congratulate Antigua and Barbuda on the 42nd anniversary of your Independence Day. Our countries share a commitment to democracy and a desire to promote a safe, resilient, and prosperous Caribbean region. Through the U.S.-Caribbean Basin Security Initiative, we have made great strides in combating drugs and weapons trafficking, and under the U.S.-Caribbean Partnership to Address the Climate Crisis 2030 (PACC 2030), we pledge our close cooperation with Antigua and Barbuda on climate adaptation and resilience with the urgency these challenges demand. To all the people of Antigua and Barbuda, please accept congratulations from me and the American people on this joyous occasion.
