The APEC Forum logo represents the convergence of APEC member economies in a yearlong forum across the United States in Palm Springs, Detroit, Seattle, and San Francisco. 2023 marks the 30th Anniversary of the APEC collaboration, and so the logo’s inspiration draws on previous host-economies logos to represent the lasting partnership between the member economies to advance key initiatives such as economy, business, and climate.

Two shapes form a suspension bridge tower, referring specifically to the city of San Francisco, the host city for APEC Economic Leaders’ Week at the end of the year. More broadly, the bridge represents a steady, positive connection between the member economies around the Pacific Rim. The apex, the highest melting point of two separate paths, symbolizes the historic cooperation and collaboration between member economies.

By design, the icon’s simple geometry pairs seamlessly with the skylines of each host city to create additional city-specific logos. These logos create a stronger visual narrative between Forum events and the diversity of host locations across the U.S. Overall, the bridge’s apex and colors represent APEC’s goal towards a stronger, more balanced, secure, sustainable, and inclusive future.
