Assistant Secretary Tibor Nagy will travel to Houston April 10-12 on a domestic outreach trip to engage with members of the African Diaspora, university students, and business organizations. During the visit, he will highlight the Administration’s Africa strategy to promote stability, security, and greater prosperity. He will also promote careers in the United States Foreign Service and recruit from diverse audiences at the University of Houston Downtown, Texas Southern University, and Rice University.

Assistant Secretary Nagy’s outreach will also be an opportunity to promote expanded trade and investment between the United States and Africa. He will meet with representatives from the International Trade Center of Houston, the Greater Houston Partnership, and the Houston Airport Authority on the important role that U.S. investment has in spurring economic growth for African and American markets. At the Rotary Club of Bellaire and Southwest Houston, he will highlight the impact America’s culture of service has had in building bridges and strengthening partnerships across the African continent.
