In general, the school can support students whose learning support needs are MILD MODERATE.
The school is able and willing to accommodate students within the following categories: hearing impaired, physically and orthopedically impaired, visually impaired, autistic, specifically learning disabled, multiple disabilities, other health impairment, speech or language impaired. Special needs support services include: teacher accommodations, teacher accommodations learning support teacher,  learning support teacher, co-teaching/team teaching in the classroom, academic support class secondary school, support special needs preschoolers, use of IEP and ILP. 
Maximum hours per week per student for push in 2 for pull out 5.
Special needs support staff in the school include: 1 nurse, 0.2 psychologist, 2 special needs coordinator,  3 learning support teachers, 5 guidance counselor. 
Services are available in English at post for the following: psychoeducational assessment, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, behavior and/or autism specialist, social skills group/social skills training, US credentialed reading specialist, reading remediation, reading programs for Dyslexia, math specialist.

 

The Berlin Brandenburg International School (BBIS) BBIS Berlin Brandenburg International School is an English language, coeducational, inclusive, day and boarding school serving the internationally minded community of Germany’s capital region and beyond. Every year we welcome approximately 680 day students and 70 boarding students from over 60 countries. Our students spend their days developing invaluable, life-long skills like critical thinking, languages and intercultural competencies across our early education, primary and secondary school sections.
