
Brigid Weiller is Deputy Director for Planning and Performance for the Department of State’s Bureau of Budget & Planning (BP), and Director of the Office of Performance and Planning. OPP is responsible for, in coordination with the Office of Foreign Assistance, the Department’s Managing for Results Framework, which includes the development and implementation of the State – USAID four-year Joint Strategic Plan, functional and regional bureau strategies, and Mission Integrated Country Strategies. OPP works with all bureaus and missions to ensure the Department’s strategic planning is informed by policy and resource priorities, supports strategic reviews to measure and report on the results of bureau and mission efforts, and designs, manages, and assesses the performance of the Department’s programs, projects, and operations. Ms. Weiller also serves as the Department’s Deputy Performance Improvement Officer (DPIO).
Ms. Weiller joined the Foreign Service in 2004. She most recently served as the Senior Advisor for Large Scale Evacuation Policies and Operations and the Overseas Citizen Services Directorate Restructuring in the Bureau of Consular Affairs. Ms. Weiller has served as a consular officer at Embassies Baghdad, Bamako, Islamabad, and Zagreb, and the Office of Children’s Issues, as a political officer in the Office of United Nations Political Affairs and Embassy Jakarta, and as a Senior Watch Officer in the Department’s Operations Center.
Ms. Weiller earned her B.A. and M.A. in English Literature from John Carroll University.
