Elizabeth Stickney is currently serving as the Director of the International Media Hub at the U.S. Embassy in London and as an Arabic Language Spokesperson for the State Department. She previously served as a Political Officer at U.S. Embassy Amman, focusing on Syria. She has had assignments at the U.S. Consulate General in Dubai, at the U.S. Embassy in Ankara, in the Office of Iranian Affairs in Washington, and at the U.S. Embassy in Kabul twice. Elizabeth has a Bachelor’s Degree in Middle Eastern Studies and French from Wellesley College. She received a U.S. Department of State Critical Language Scholarship for Arabic study in Tangier, Morocco. She is from York, Pennsylvania.
