Gustav Goger is a career member of the Senior Foreign Service and currently serves as the Executive Director for the Bureau of East Asia and Pacific Affairs. Previously, he served as the inaugural Chief Operating Officer of China House and Mid-Level Division Director in the Bureau of Global Talent Management. Overseas he served as Deputy Director of the Regional Support Center in Frankfurt and Management Counselor in Myanmar in addition to tours in Vietnam, Colombia, Afghanistan, Thailand, and China. Gustav is a recipient of the Department’s Luther Replogle Award for Management Improvement. His foreign languages include Spanish, Vietnamese and Mandarin and is part of a tandem.
