Lynn Virgil joined the Foreign Service as a Management-coned generalist in 2005. She has served in Bujumbura, London, State Department’s Operations Center, Athens, Podgorica, Dubai, and most recently in the Management Team Training Division at the Foreign Service Institute. Prior to joining the Foreign Service, Lynn worked as an International Trade Specialist for the Department of Commerce. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts degree in International Studies/East European Studies, both from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). Lynn speaks Polish, French, and Serbian. She is an avid UNC basketball fan.
