Mr. William J. Hybl is the Vice Chairman of the U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy. From 2007-2016 he served as chairman of the commission and he has previously served as vice chair from 1990-1997, under Presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton. An attorney, former member of the Colorado legislature, and former special counsel to President Ronald Reagan, Mr. Hybl also serves as vice chairman of the Board of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), and as a civilian aide to the Secretary of the Army (senior). In 2001, President George W. Bush appointed him as the U.S. Representative to the 56th General Assembly of the United Nations. He currently serves as vice chairman of the Board of the BROADMOOR Hotel, Inc., and is chairman of the Air Force Academy Foundation and The Hundred Club of Colorado Springs. Mr. Hybl also serves on numerous corporate and sport boards. He was named 2003 Citizen of the West and, in 2005, life trustee of The Colorado College Board of Trustees.

Mr. Hybl holds a bachelor’s degree from The Colorado College and a law degree from the University of Colorado.
