In general, the school can support students whose learning support needs are MILD to MODERATE. Speak to REO about secondary level services. The school is able and willing to accommodate students within the following categories: physically and orthopedically impaired, visually impaired, autistic, specifically learning disabled, other health impairment, speech or language impaired. Special needs support services include: teacher accommodations, teacher accommodations learning support teacher, learning support teacher, co-teaching/team teaching in the classroom, academic support class secondary school, support special needs preschoolers, use of IEP and ILP. Maximum hours per week per student for push in 5 for pull out 5. Special needs support staff in the school include: 2 nurses, 2 psychologists, 1 special needs coordinator, 4 learning support teachers, 1 guidance counselor. Services are available in English at post for the following: psychoeducational assessment, speech therapy, physical therapy, behavior and/or autism specialist, social skills group/social skills training, reading remediation, reading programs for Dyslexia, math specialist. The school can provide the following: 1:1 classroom aide.

 

Bishkek International School (BIS) is a liberal, secular, nonprofit community school, founded in 2010 to provide excellent international education in a happy environment for both international and local families in Bishkek. BIS has 380 students from Pre-K through grade 12. Around 50% of students are Kyrgyz citizens, with international students representing over 30 countries worldwide.
