Our Mission

The U.S. National and Nuclear Risk Reduction Center (NNRRC) is the United States’ 24/7/365 communications center for exchanging notifications with foreign counterparts on issues ranging from nuclear and conventional arms control, ballistic missile launch notifications, chemical weapons destruction, and international cyber incidents. Its core mission is to reduce the risk of international conflict that could arise from misunderstandings or miscommunications.
