Our Mission

The Office of Verification, Planning, and Outreach (VPO) leads Bureau efforts on strategic communications, planning, and work to develop novel verification capabilities. VPO coordinates the annual Compliance Report and manages the Key Verification Assets Fund. VPO also leads external, multi-stakeholder engagement with non-governmental organizations, academia, Congress, the media, and manages the Secretary of State’s International Security Advisory Board (ISAB).
