The Office of Language Services provides foreign language translating and interpreting services on a fee-reimbursable basis to other U.S. Government federal agencies in accordance with 22 U.S.C. Section 2695a. To request translation (written) assistance for documents and agreements, e-mail translation@state.gov. To request interpreting (oral) support for meetings or conferences, e-mail interpreters@state.gov.

To fund interpreting or translating support, you will need to establish an Interagency Agreement (non-acquisition assistance) with us following Department of Treasury guidelines. Please contact us at translation@state.gov or interpreters@state.gov for funding guidance and the required forms.

IVLP Support Program

The Office of Language Services provides interpreting and program liaison support to the International Vistors Leadership Program. Representatives of National Program Agencies, Community-Based Member Organizations, and other stakeholders in this vital public diplomacy exchange program can provide feedback on our support by completing this survey.
