CHITTAGONG, BANGLADESH: February 12, 2017 - Supriya Dae and her son visit paramedic, Shanta Das, for a checkup on his growth. USAID-DFID NGO Health Service Delivery Project supports the delivery of Essential Service Packages (ESP) of primary health care through a network of non-governmental organization (NGO) clinics, commonly known as Smiling Sun Network, that primarily target the poor and under-served focusing more in rural hard-to reach areas and urban slums. This network of service centers incorporates new approaches to promote optimal health behaviors and community participation, and to enhance local ownership of service delivery through institutional strengthening.
