CANDIDATE:       Edward F. Crawford

Edward F. Crawford has been Chairman and CEO of The Edward Crawford Group, Inc. in Cleveland, Ohio since 1985 and Chairman and CEO of Park-Ohio Industries, Inc. in Cleveland, Ohio from 1992 until May of 2018.  He has served as President of Park-Ohio Industries, Inc. from May of 2018 to present.  A prominent businessman, he is a Member of numerous Boards and Organizations across a myriad of diversified industries.  He has been honored for his business acumen with the Northeast Ohio Business Hall of Fame Entrepreneurial Award, the Small Business News Master Innovator Award, Ernst & Young Northeast Ohio Entrepreneur of the Year Award and Small Business Administration Man of the Year-Ohio Award.  As a philanthropist, Mr. Crawford has been recognized for his community service by many organizations, including the Ronald McDonald House, the Mayo Society, Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, Our Lady of the Wayside and John Carroll University.  He served in the Specialist Aviation Company, 107th Armored Cavalry, Army National Guard (1960-1963).  Mr. Crawford’s engaging leadership, insights and knowledge of manufacturing and technology make him well qualified to serve as Ambassador to Ireland.

Previously, Mr. Crawford was President of  Crawford Container Company in Conneaut, Ohio (1974-1985), Vice President Operations of  Clarke Can Company, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (1971-1974) and President and CEO of Cleveland Steel Container in Cleveland, Ohio (1962-1971).  Mr. Crawford was also a member of the USO World Board of Governors (2007-2010).

Mr. Crawford attended John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio.
