Deputy Secretary Wendy R. Sherman will meet with Japanese Vice Minister Mori Takeo and Republic of Korea (ROK) First Vice Minister Cho Hyundong on February 13 in Washington, D.C. The Deputy Secretary and Vice Ministers will discuss plans to enhance trilateral security cooperation in the region and the world. They will also discuss collaboration on support to Ukraine and other pressing global challenges and concrete ways to expand the trilateral partnership to deliver on the shared vision of a free, open, and prosperous Indo-Pacific.  There will be a press availability immediately following the trilateral meeting.

The press availability is open to the media. Pre-set time for cameras is 1:15 p.m. ET from the 23rd Street entrance.  Final access time for writers and stills is 1:30 p.m. ET from the 23rd Street entrance.

Media representatives may attend this event upon presentation of one of the following: (1) a U.S. Government-issued photo media credential (e.g., Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense or Foreign Press Center), or (2) an official photo identification card issued by their news organization, or (3) a letter from their employer on official letterhead verifying their current employment as a journalist.  

Additionally, they must present an official government photo identification card (i.e., U.S. driver’s license or passport).
