The Deputy Secretary and Secretary General laid the groundwork for successful collaboration through the Joint Action Plan to Eliminate Racial and Ethnic Discrimination and Promote Equality (JAPER) as well as the Human Rights Dialogue. Deputy Secretary Sherman underscored the United States’ interest in working with Brazil for a peaceful resolution in Ukraine that respects Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial integrity.
