Objectives of the Digital Partnership

Expand and increase secure Internet access in targeted emerging markets.

Work with partner countries to adopt policies and regulatory positions that foster and encourage open, interoperable, reliable and secure Internet.

Promote exports of U.S. ICT goods and services and increase U.S. company market share in target markets.

Work with partner countries to build cybersecurity capabilities and adopt best practices.

The Digital Connectivity and Cybersecurity Partnership (‘Digital Partnership’ or DCCP) is a multi-year, whole of government effort to promote an open, interoperable, secure, and reliable Internet.

By catalyzing economically sustainable and secure private sector network investments, promoting regulatory reforms and encouraging adoption of cyber security best practices, this initiative will provide a credible alternative to top-down, authoritarian approaches to internet and ICT development and enable nations to realize the tremendous economic benefit of the digital economy.
