The Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) has recognized Jeremy Miles of Orange, California, as their 2016 Honor Graduate of the Year.
Miles is a special agent with the Diplomatic Security Service (DSS), the worldwide law enforcement and security arm of the U.S. Department of State.
Scott Moretti, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the DSS Training Directorate, congratulated Special Agent Miles at the ceremony held today at FLETC in Glynco, Georgia.
“Very few people receive this award. It is reserved for a very elite group of men and women. Jeremy, your excellent academic and physical achievements have put you in a special league. I’m proud we get to call you one of our own,” Moretti said.
In fiscal year 2016, FLETC trained more than 70,000 law enforcement officers and agents in a basic or advanced training program. The Honor Graduate of the Year award is given annually to the FLETC graduate with the highest academic average.
