Expo 2020 Dubai
Connecting Minds, Creating the Future
The six-month long Expo 2020 Dubai will be the first Expo to take place in the Middle East, North Africa, or South Asia and is expected to attract 15 million visitors; 5 million of whom may visit the U.S. pavilion. The event, now scheduled for October 1, 2021 – March 31, 2022 coincides with the UAE’s 50th founding anniversary.
On September 12, 2021, Mr. Robert Clark was designated as the United States Commissioner General at Expo 2020 Dubai. Commissioner General Clark leads the USA Pavilion and serves as the senior U.S. government representative to the Government of the UAE on issues related to Expo 2020 Dubai.
The theme of Expo 2020 Dubai is Connecting Minds, Creating the Future, representing the potential of what can be achieved when meaningful collaborations and partnerships are forged. The Expo’s subthemes are Opportunity, Mobility, and Sustainability. The U.S. pavilion’s theme is “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of the Future” and the pavilion’s exhibition and cultural programming will celebrates the historic spirit of creativity and invention that has driven America to create the future we live in today.
Construction of the U.S. pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai launched in March 2020 (see video ).
