Purpose and Contribution to Mission The 2016 EUR-IO/EX Management Officers Workshop (MOW) focused on security and emergency preparedness. Terrorist attacks in France, Belgium and Turkey demonstrated the need for heightened crisis preparation and response in areas traditionally deemed low risk. The 2016 MOW leveraged the hands-on experience of leaders who had served through crises and engaged experts from across the Department to share best practices and innovative ideas on preparing for, and navigating through, an emergency.
