On this second annual International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism established by the United Nations, we express our solidarity with the victims of terrorism and their families and condemn the suffering caused by terrorism around the world.  The State Department will continue to work with our partner governments, as well as international organizations and civil society, to provide victims of terrorism and their families with the necessary support and assistance.

We honor the strength and resilience of these victims and their families and the important role their engagement and voices contribute to preventing the recruitment and radicalization of potential terrorists.
