Current Partnerships

The U.S. Department of State’s Office of Global Partnerships has launched the Ukrainian Partnership Series, an action-oriented series of events composed of interactive panels, forums, inspirational talks, and deep-dive sessions to discuss the wide range of opportunities for planning, collaborating, and investing in Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction in the short and long term. The goal is to convene governments, corporations, investors, philanthropies, academic institutions, non-governmental organizations, diaspora, and civil society groups, to share their expertise, analyze the key sectors that will be core to Ukraine’s reconstruction, and promote public private partnerships as a tool to facilitate redevelopment, revitalize the economy of Ukraine, and strengthen the partnership between Ukraine and the United States.

Diaspora Voices is an interactive virtual event series that gives diaspora organizations the ability to engage with top diplomats about the challenges directly affecting their communities and opens the dialogue for opportunities to work with the Department to address them.

Franklin Talent Exchange Partnership (FTEP) offers an opportunity for participants to embark in a collaborative two-way exchange program that brings in talented experts and consultants from a consortium of private sector partners and sends State employees on assignment to private sector partner organizations where assignments strategically align with the Department’s top foreign policy priorities. The Coalition for Climate Entrepreneurship (CCE) Initiative leverages new and existing State Department engagement programs and partnerships with the private sector, to connect climate entrepreneurs with peer thought partners, industry mentors, and partnership opportunities needed to scale innovative climate solutions and drive green growth globally.

The P3 Impact Award recognizes leading public-private partnerships that are improving local communities and the world in the most impactful ways.

WiSci Girls STEAM Camp brings together high school girls from across various countries within a region to learn science, technology, engineering, arts and design, and mathematics (STEAM) skills and provide them with the encouragement, community, and confidence to pursue career paths in STEAM.

Diplomacy Lab enables the State Department to “course-source” research related to foreign policy challenges by harnessing the efforts of students and faculty experts at U.S. colleges and universities.

Partnership Opportunity Delegations (POD) are an initiative of the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Global Partnerships (GP) that help foster deeper collaboration and cooperation between the United States, countries of strategic importance, and the private sector.

MINVEST (Minerals Investment Network for Vital Energy Security and Transformation) is a public-private partnership that promotes public-private dialogue and spur private sector investment in strategic mining, processing, and recycling opportunities that adhere to high environmental, social and governance standards. LIONS@FRICA  is a public-private partnership to enhance and deepen the startup and innovation ecosystems of targeted fast-growing African economies.

The Benjamin Kane Gupta Fellowship  offers a profound avenue for U.S. citizen graduate students from accredited higher education institutions to apply skills learned in the classroom to the meaningful work of international public- private partnership creation at the U.S. Department of State.

International diaspora Engagement Alliance (IdEA) provides a platform for diaspora communities to promote diplomacy and development in countries of heritage by forging partnerships around trade and investment, volunteerism, philanthropy, and innovation.

StartOpps is a public-private partnership that recognizes the critical role startups and industry leading accelerators and incubators play in generating new ideas and solutions to critical economic, social, and development challenges. StartOpps is a building platform which strengthens and leverages the world’s best innovators, startups, companies, and capital. The partners include Y Combinator, Techstars, Entrepreneurs Roundtable Association, Silicon Valley Group Ventures, and Idealab.

Boldline: The P3 Accelerator is an accelerator program aimed to support innovative public-private partnerships (P3) and help them scale their solutions.

Veterans Innovation Partnership provides education and employment opportunities for young American veterans who are recent master’s degree recipients and who are interested in foreign affairs careers.
